Executive Retreat Itinerary Example

Three days designed for 6-12 leaders — a sample programme that changes how your team thinks

This sample itinerary illustrates the rhythm that makes our executive retreats effective for leadership teams of 6-12: structured morning work sessions when cognitive energy peaks, followed by afternoon experiences that provide the physical and mental contrast needed for insights to take root. At this group size, the intimacy enables honest strategic dialogue that's impossible in larger formats. Every element is customisable to your team's objectives, pace, and preferences.

The Deep Work / Restore Rhythm

Research consistently shows that strategic thinking peaks in the morning and that physical movement and novel experiences enhance creative problem-solving. Our itinerary is built around this science: mornings for structured strategy work, afternoons for curated Mediterranean experiences. The transition between modes is where the most valuable informal conversations happen — over lunch, during vineyard walks, on the boat. With just 6-12 people, every conversation is substantive.

    Customisation Is Standard

This itinerary is a starting point. Some teams prefer longer work sessions and shorter experiences. Others want two deep-work days and a full experience day. We've hosted teams that brought their own facilitator, and teams that wanted us to arrange everything. The property and programme flex to your objectives — not the other way around.

    Sample Itinerary

    Day 1

    Arrival & Alignment

    Morning

Arrive at Dubrovnik Airport. Private group transfer along the coastal road to the residence (90 mins). Settle in, workspace orientation.

    Afternoon

Welcome lunch on the main terrace — local seafood, Pelješac wines. Opening session (2 hrs): objectives setting, ground rules, context sharing. Light format — round-table, no slides. With 6-12 around the table, everyone contributes from minute one.

    Evening

Private chef dinner on the pool terrace. Local specialities paired with Dingač and Postup wines from vineyards you'll visit tomorrow. First informal conversations.

    Day 2

    Deep Work & Vineyard

    Morning

Strategy session (9:00-12:30): Core strategic challenge. Structured facilitation with breakout pairs. Whiteboard work and framework building. The intimacy of 6-12 enables the honest strategic dialogue that's impossible in larger formats — every voice matters, every disagreement surfaces.

    Afternoon

Guided vineyard tour through the Dingač appellation — walking through the steep coastal slopes where Croatia's finest reds are grown. Private tasting at a family winery. Return via coastal path.

    Evening

Working dinner: review Day 2 insights, capture preliminary decisions. Outdoor dining under the stars. Optional late conversation by the pool.

    Day 3

    Decisions & Departure

    Morning

Final session (9:00-12:00): Decision synthesis. Commit to 3-5 strategic priorities. Assign owners and 30-day milestones. Draft communication plan for the wider organisation.

    Afternoon

Closing lunch. Free time for a final swim or walk. Group transfer to Dubrovnik Airport for evening flights.

    Evening

Departure. Summary document sent within 48 hours. First follow-up meeting scheduled for 2 weeks post-retreat.
