Wild Beach Cleanup

    Walking distance + nearby coves

The Adriatic currents wash debris onto Pelješac's wild beaches — plastic bottles, styrofoam fragments, fishing nets, and microplastic. Our beach cleanup programme turns this environmental challenge into a meaningful team activity. You'll work the hidden coves and rocky stretches that machines can't reach, collecting and sorting debris that would otherwise break down into the marine ecosystem. Each session covers a different stretch of coastline, and we track cumulative impact across all retreat groups. It's physical, it's immediate, and there's something deeply satisfying about leaving a beach cleaner than you found it. Most teams say this was one of the most memorable parts of their retreat.

    • Equipment and collection bags provided
    • Impact tracking — weight collected, area cleaned

💡 Insider TipThe best time is after a south-easterly wind (jugo), which washes the most debris ashore. We monitor weather patterns and schedule cleanups for maximum impact. Bring water shoes — some of the best coves are accessed over rocks.
